Why I set up
The AntiFragile Growth Academy

It all began when, after 20 years in International Events, I realised that my younger colleagues did not have the same level of resilience, initiative, communication or collaborative skills as those I had recruited and trained in the previous 10 to 15 years.

Their levels of anxiety were through the roof, their training required more time and hand-holding and they were generally less joyful in their early twenties.

Wanting to be part of the solution I started reading and researching what had changed and how these changes have impacted our younger generations.

It was during the COVID years that I decided to change career and start working with children, initially, to help them be more resilient.

Since I have learned that being resilient is not necessarily the key, using Growth Mindset techniques I aim, with my colleagues to ensure their AntiFragility.

Between 2021 and 2023 I worked with Potential Plus UK where I created online course that have had proven success, and although we are still working hand in hand I have now set up The AntiFragile Growth Academy to offer these solutions to a larger audience.

Feel free to contact me should you have any questions, I will endeavour to respond as quickly as possible.

Some Feedback

The sessions are a good balance of chess skills development and social development - particularly taking turns in speaking etc

The tutors are knowledgeable, kind and patient. No need to improve on anything . They pitch the lessons perfectly.

I just absolutely love the sessions. It is just what our child (and all kids) needs to see.

Good communication with parents and willingness to move children up levels when ready

Really friendly and supportive. [Our son] really looks forward to and enjoys the sessions, and then puts concepts he has learned back into his game - so it is obviously working!

I don't think it could have gone better.

Pantéa is fantastic at teaching the kids how to interact socially and turn take. She’s great, like an extra friend in the screen. No improvement needed.
